Hello, I’m Jess, and I am ready to help you start your homestead journey anywhere. At one time, I longed to live on property, have a garden, and raise some chickens Due to military moves, my family lived anywhere from tiny apartments to small houses in town. None of these living accommodations were conducive to having a large garden or raising chickens. I worked on my gardening skills with small container gardens, and saved money by making most of our meals at home. Learning new skills and improving on the ones already in progress led to the mostly self-sustaining lifestyle we live today. My husband and I now live on a piece of property with chickens, ducks, goats, pigs and cows. In our first year growing a larger garden and saving money anything was a planter, yes even the feed bags from the livestock! In the years we were moving and living in areas with small yards we were able to start growing our skill set and save money to build the life we wanted.
